To eventually blow a hole in the side of the bottle, we had to tape a number of blackcats and m-80's to its side. We then cut a square piece of aluminum out of a pop can and taped that over the fireworks. This acted to focus the explosion inward into the bottle. It was an obsession. There was no purpose behind this exercise. We thought it would just be another cool thing to blow up. But when it resisted our first attempt, the challenge was on. We could not proceed with any other experiment until we had shown this plastic bottle who was boss. |
